Linda has over 20 years experience in the motor trade specialising in the finance and leasing sector. This began at a Peugeot dealership in 1991 doing fleet sales and administration. After a promotion Linda set up a daily rental department within the dealership and became the Rental Manager; 6 months later the department was making a profit and had doubled the size of its fleet. Taking a 2 year industry change Linda returned to the Renault Retail Group located at Manchester as a fleet sales executive after missing the motor trade atmosphere. A year after her return she was asked to set up and manage a fleet department at their sister site in Oldham. Several successful years later, after exceeding quarterly and annual targets, Linda was then relocated to several locations across the North West to boost their fleet departments’ sales. Linda decided to move out of the area and take up another managerial role within a family run Renault dealership. This evolved into a multi franchise dealer group, which led to the development and setting up of a vehicle brokerage. It was this experience that gave her the insight and knowledge to set up her own family run vehicle brokerage in 2007, which became known as Butlers Vehicle Solutions Ltd. The only difference was Linda wanted to focus on providing a personalised experience for a customer wanting to purchase a new car or van. Some of her policies included no jargon or blagging, with extended opening hours, which meant always putting the customers’ interests and needs first.
Tim has always had a huge interest in cars which stems back from his teenage years. He was a keen motorsport fan with one of his favourites being the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) where the likes of Andy Rous and Tim Harvey raced in a Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth. He has followed the BTCC thoroughly ever since and continues to watch the latest drivers like Mat Jackson and Jason Plato who now race in the new NGTC developed cars. Tim’s motor industry experience began in 1999 where he held a vehicle administrative role in a Fiat and Alpha Romeo franchised dealership in Staffordshire. He showed great potential and loyalty during his time there and was headhunted in 2003 by a vehicle brokerage. He took on a role as a vehicle administrator which was similar to his previous role. After 5 successful years at this brokerage Tim met his wife Linda who was the contact at one of their supplying dealers. They soon realised they had similar beliefs and values which led to the decision of setting up their own vehicle brokerage. Linda set up the company initially and after a year Tim joined Butlers Vehicle Solutions Ltd working with Linda to achieve great customer satisfaction and aims to exceed customers’ expectations when purchasing a new vehicle.
Butlers Bear started out with Renault as the promotion bear for the Renault Clio. In 2007 joined Butlers Vehicle Solutions Ltd as the companies marketing and PR Guru focusing on Facebook, Twitter, sponsorship programs and all the other fun stuff. I always get to travel to all the exotic locations like Macau and the not so exotic locations like Pembrey to get exclusive pictures, comments, etc. relating to our BTCC sponsorship and WTCC sponsorship. Sometimes I even get to go to events like Goodwood Festival of Speed and manufacturers factory tours, or even track days. This is the part of my job I enjoy the most, as I get to meet racing drivers, presenters, celebrities and pop stars; including “The Stig” from the BBC Top Gear show.
